The Franco American Centre will hold its 7th annual Beaujolais nouveau wine Pairing dinner on November 19th at Drumlin’s restaurant, Stonebridge Country Club in Goffstown. Tickets are available on-line at the Franco American Centre Website: facnh.com or by calling the Centre at 641-7114.

This black tie optional event is the Centre’s annual celebration of the release of Georges Duboeuf’s Beaujolais nouveau wine. Lovers of fine wine and French Cuisine will not want to miss this elegant evening. The theme song for this Year’s dinner is “Parlez-moi d’amour”, one of the oldest and best loved French love songs

 

 

The 4 course dinner features course and wine pairing introductions by Drumlin’s chef de cuisine, Tracey Couture-Fitts, a Goffstown native. She is a Graduate of southern New Hampshire University’s famed hospitality Management program and has over 33 years of experience in the food service Industry. This training and experience combined with her French-Canadian Heritage, should result in culinary creations that are sure to please.

Menu:

1st      Fresh roasted butternut squash soup topped with crème fraiche and crispy sage

2nd     Chicken cordon bleu beggars purse with chive oil

3rd     Pan seared prosciutto wrapped pork medallions over creamy polenta and beet greens with maple vinaigrette

4th     Fruit filled crepes with house made maple walnut ice cream

 

Back by popular demand, local pianist roger L’heureux will serenade guests With French and popular musical selections. The theme song will be Sung by Franco American Centre member and vocalist Carolyn Maheu. As in years past, the evening will conclude with a French carol sing-along to usher in the holiday season.

Beaujolais nouveau is a red wine made from gamay grapes in the Beaujolais Region of France. It is the most popular vin de primeur. Under French law, it is Released at 12:01 a.m. on the third Thursday in November – just weeks after the Wine’s grapes have been harvested.
