Enjoy the Cashore Marionettes
Friday October 2nd, 2015
The Franco-American Centre, through a special arrangement with the Dana Center for the Performing Arts, invites you to enjoy the wonderful Cashore Marionettes Friday, October 2nd, starting at 7:30 PM.
Respected worldwide for the beauty and integrity of the near-life-sized marionettes Joseph Cashore has been creating for over 30 years, a Cashore Marionettes performance provides adult and young adult audiences with a one-of-a-kind vision of what it is to be human, featuring satisfying theatricality and accompanied by stunning music. With sensitivity and poetic insight, Cashore Marionettes uses a sequence of vignettes to explore a range of emotions with characters and actions that are amazingly convincing as they highlight the beauties and trials of daily life.
The marionettes are engineering marvels, the quality of movement is extraordinary, and the themes as varied as the human landscape. This is puppetry for grown-us, as it is celebrated throughout the world, celebrating the richness of life. What a great way to ring in the fall season!
