While many people think of Manchester and Nashua when they think of French influence, New Hampshire’s North Country is steeped in the French experience that is alive and well today. Join guest speakers who will share how the French language and culture in Northern New Hampshire have impacted them and influenced their careers.
Guest Speakers:
Katharine Harrington, French Professor at Plymouth State University and Appointed Chevalier in the Ordre des Palmes Académiques by the French Republique. She is the co-founder of the Bienvenue au NH initiative. BienvenueNH.org
Marie-Josee Vaillant, CEO of Kheops International Inc. specialty importer, wholesaler and manufacture of New Age and metaphysical gifts in the United States and Canada.
Benoit Lamontagne, North Country Industrial Agent. He works for the State of the New Hampshire’s Department of Business and Economic Affairs in Economic Development, in New Hampshire’s northernmost counties – Carroll, Coos, and Grafton – assisting businesses with their expansion and retention needs. Fluent in French, he also works to actively recruit companies in neighboring Canada to expand to New Hampshire.
