This month’s Adventure
Janis Hennessey is a NH author who writes children’s books for ages 2 through 8. Mrs. Hennessey will read from her popular Max and Colby series. She will be reading her books in English and will interject with common/ repeated French words. Then children will be able to color pages from the books while a Q & A session will be offered for the adults. After, Mrs. Hennessey will offer stickers to the children’s coloring pages while we take a group photo.

What are French Adventures?
French Adventures are family-friendly activities for all ages that introduce the fun and excitement of using French in a wide range of adventures. Learn about nature, history, sports, art and culture while picking up useful French vocabulary!
How do French Adventures work?
Each adventure is based on a theme. Everyone gathers together at the beginning to learn some key French words and expressions related to the theme. Then, adventurers set off to enjoy an activity that puts those new words and expressions to use!
How much French do I need to know?
Adventure French vocabulary is chosen to introduce basic ideas and activities can be done in English so no prior French knowledge is required. However, people with some French knowledge are likely to pick up a few new terms and expressions.
