Emigration patterns, “dit” names and anglicizations can create road blocks in tracing your ancestors; helpful resources will be identified and explained by experienced members of the American-Canadian Genealogical Society (ACGS).

Gerry Savard is a long term member of ACGS. He has served as president, board member, and web site liaison.

Muriel Chabot Normand is currently president of ACGS and has also served on the board, Strategic Planning and Conference committees.

Both have over 20 years of experience in research services and as presenters for ACGS.
