Many French-speakers in the Greater Manchester area were disappointed when Comcast stopped broadcasting channel CSKH from Sherbrooke, QC in August. For many, this was the main contact with French news, entertainment and religious programming from Quebec.
While discussions with Comcast continue, it is uncertain if this channel lineup decision will be changed.
Fortunately, there are many options available for accessing French programming via the internet. This workshop will introduce attendees to different options to meet the varied viewing needs and interests of Manchester-area French-speakers.
Attendees are encouraged to bring personal laptops or tablets to the workshop. Volunteers will be available to assist with setting up bookmarks that meet your viewing interests.
The workshop is FREE and OPEN TO ALL but pre-registration is requested so that we can make sure enough volunteers are present to assist attendees. Please note that priority for providing one-on-one support will be given to registered attendees.
Come find out about French internet resources available to you at home.
Au plaisir de vous voir!
