The competition is over!  In all, 11 bakers baked and decorated 8 cakes – 5 individual bakers and 3 teams of 2.  All were amazing and there was an abundance of creativity on display.   Thank you to our finalists!

Congratulations to our winners!

Challenge Winner – Sandra Martel

Sandra’s cake representing France wowed the judges with their flavors and balanced textures.  Comprised of a (bottom) Crème Brûlée cheesecake and a (top) Berry Chantilly cake.  Decorated with berries and chocolate Eiffel towers.  On the side, light vanilla macarons.  Delicious!

People’s Choice Award – Cayla LeonGuerrero

Attendees voted Cayla’s the best representation of the country the cake represented – Mexico.  Cayla’s delicate fondant work was a beautiful homage to Mexico’s Day of the Dead.

We were very fortunate to have 3 wonderful judges share their time, and their taste buds, to choose our Challenge winner.  They had the enviable task to taste all the delicious cakes!
