Franco-American Centre French Class Policies
Class Fees
Adult Classes: $375 for members of the FAC and $410 for non-members of the FAC (Does not include a membership). If you choose to become a member, please click here for options, but it is not required.
Children’s Classes: $150 per child, sibling discount available.
Class Placement
It is recommended that students take classes (Fall through Spring) sequentially at all levels to fully benefit from the classes. This is required for absolute beginners who must register for Fall Session Absolute Beginner as their first class.
Students with French background, substantial experience or former French instruction may choose to begin a class mid-year. For example, such a student may choose to begin the Refresher course at any time. Advanced students may also choose to take Advanced Literature or Advanced Conversation at any point in the year. Students are encouraged to contact Pauline Guimond Grant, French Classes Coordinator, at pgrant@facnh.com or (603) 623-1093 for help in choosing the appropriate class level.
Withdrawals & Refunds
Tuition must be paid in full prior to the first class. Withdrawals from classes must be made in writing to the Franco-American Centre. Notification to a teacher is not an acceptable withdrawal. Refunds are issued as follows: A full refund is issued if withdrawal takes place one week prior to the start of the first class. A 50% refund will be issued after the first class. There are no refunds after the second class.
Location & Parking
Currently, all classes are virtual via Zoom.
In person classes are held on the campus of Saint Anselm College. Free parking is available on campus unless otherwise posted. Students in online classes will be provided a class login link by their teacher prior to the start of class.
Cancellations & Makeups
In person classes are automatically canceled when the Manchester School District cancels classes due to inclement weather. In cases of inclement weather, check the Manchester School District website for closure announcements. Please do not call the FAC office.
Recording of Virtual Classes
Virtual classes may be recorded to accommodate student absence and for quality control.
