FAC Conversation Groups ~ Prêt-à-parler

Prêt-à-parler, which means “Ready to Talk”, is the collection of Franco-American Centre’s French conversation groups.  Although some are geared towards specific groups, they are free and open to all, members and non-members alike.

Participants  arrive and depart at their leisure.  All levels of French are welcome.

Prêt-à-parler (PaPa) Groups:

Manchester Prêt-à-parler

From 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM on the first Tuesday of each month at a local restaurant.

Open to all and free to join the conversation, but registration is required to ensure proper space. (Food and beverage are at participant’s expense.)

From 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM on the second Monday of each month at a local restaurant.

Teen Prêt-à-parler

Conversation group specifically for teens (13 to 19 years of age)!

Hosted by French teacher, Rebecca Fortgang, during the school year.

Virtual meeting runs from October to May from 6 to 7 pm on the 2nd Wednesday of the month.

Conversation group specifically for university students!

Hosted by French professors during the fall and spring semesters.

Virtual meetings are held from 3 to 4 pm on the third Thursday of the month.

Virtual Conversation Groups

French Maine USA

The group meets on Thursdays at 7pm Eastern. We meet for an hour (+). The conversation is almost entirely in French. All levels are welcome. But attendees should be able to understand and be willing to express themselves in French (to the best of their ability – no one is judging).   It’s a sharing and learning experience!
